As per the information available, it is still not mandatory in Jammu & Kashmir to have Aadhaar in order to get the ration supply. As per another notification, it is also not mandatory for people in Jammu and Kashmir to quote the Aadhaar number while filing ITR. All this can change any time and if you do not have an Aadhaar card then you must apply for the Aadhaar card in Jammu & Kashmir. You can actually visit any of the enrolment centres in Jammu & Kashmir to apply for Aadhaar card and post application, you can check the status through the online portal. Here is how you can do it.
Steps to check Aadhaar Card Status in Jammu and Kashmir
Step 1 – Visit the UIDAI portal with help of the link mentioned below. This portal is designed by the government and they offer all services like downloading the Aadhaar card and correcting the details of the Aadhaar card.

Step 2– On the homepage of UIDAI, click on Check Aadhaar Status under the Aadhaar Enrolment Section and this will help you in going to the page where you can enter the details of your enrolment number.
Step 3– Enter your enrolment number, date and time along with the security code.Click on the submit button to fetch the status of your Aadhaar card. If the Aadhaar card has been issued then you will be able to download the Aadhaar card from the UIDAI portal only.
